Draft and resubmission feedback
Identify why work was referred and plan targeted corrections.
Need CMI assignment help with a brief that contains several learning outcomes, assessment criteria and evidence requirements? We support Management and Leadership learners across Levels 2–8, from Team Leading and First Line Management to Professional Management, Strategic Leadership and Strategic Direction. The starting point is your qualification code, unit, assessment criteria, command verbs and centre instructions, not a generic management topic.
Send your assessment booklet, existing draft or referral comments for an initial review. We identify the Award, Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma code, where that size is offered, and check whether the brief belongs to a live or legacy suite. You then receive practical guidance on what each assessment criterion (AC) requires, where authentic workplace evidence is needed and how to revise your own work without changing authorship.
See what every criterion is asking before you start.

Briefs, feedback and workplace information are handled under our Privacy Policy.
CMI assessment work is not one fixed type of business essay. A learner can explain a management theory correctly and still receive a referral if the response misses an AC, uses the wrong evidence format, does not follow the command verb or is pitched at the wrong level. Centres may use official CMI briefs or approved centre-devised assessments, so the qualification code and complete instructions must be checked first.
Our CMI assignment help starts with the qualification suite and assessment brief. We review the level, qualification size, CMI code, unit, learning outcomes, ACs, evidence format, word-count guidance, centre instructions and assessor feedback before agreeing the support scope.
Support may include brief mapping, command-verb guidance, tutoring, workplace-evidence planning, draft feedback, proofreading, referencing checks or resubmission planning. The service is limited to the scope agreed after the files are reviewed.
If your task is a broader business or management assessment rather than a CMI qualification, it should be handled under the separate management-assignment service rather than forced into a CMI brief structure.
A referral usually has a specific cause. The whole topic may not be wrong; one assessment criterion may simply lack the evidence, depth or judgement required. Finding that exact weakness is more useful than rewriting everything.
The response defines a model but does not apply it to the learner's organisation, role, team or project.
The command verb requires evaluation, but the paragraph only describes what happened.
A workplace example is mentioned without explaining the decision, action, result or relevance to the assessment criterion.
A workplace example is mentioned without explaining the decision, action, result or relevance to the AC.
Important evidence is placed only in an appendix, while the main answer does not explain why that evidence matters.
The same theory or example is reused under several ACs even though each criterion asks a different question.
Important evidence is placed only in an appendix, while the main answer does not explain why it matters.
The response is pitched at the wrong level, for example, Level 3 evidence becomes too theoretical, Level 6 work lacks professional-management depth or Level 7 work does not reach strategic judgement.
A recommendation is given without comparing options, risks, limitations or stakeholder impact.
Sources appear in the reference list but are not used to support claims inside the answer.
Tutor feedback asks for more analysis or reflection, but the revised draft only adds more description.
Our resubmission support focuses on the referred criteria. We compare the assessor's comments with your existing draft, identify what is already acceptable and give you a targeted revision plan for the weak areas.
A single task screenshot may omit the qualification version, evidence rules, assessment method or centre instructions that change how the work should be approached. The initial review therefore uses the complete brief wherever possible.

An Award, Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma may involve different combinations and depth.
Every required criterion needs enough relevant evidence; strong writing in one section cannot compensate for a missing AC.
Explain, analyse, assess and evaluate require different forms of response and judgement.
The task may require your own organisation, a chosen organisation, a case study or reflective evidence from your role.
Tables, appendices and supporting documents may be treated differently by your centre or current CMI guidance.
Harvard is common, but the brief or centre guidance takes priority.
A referred submission should be revised against the actual comments, not guessed at or completely replaced without reason.
The level shows the complexity of knowledge and judgement expected; Award, Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma describe qualification size; and codes such as 3C31, 5D30, 6A30 or 7XD30 identify the applicable suite. Rules of combination and legacy registrations can also change the valid unit choices, so the code on the learner’s brief takes priority over assumptions based on level alone.
Written work forms a major part of many CMI qualifications, but the assessment activity can vary by unit and centre. Depending on the approved brief, evidence may include a report, reflective account, work-based project, presentation, professional discussion, development plan, proposal, portfolio or supporting workplace evidence. We check the format stated in your own assessment booklet rather than assuming that every task requires the same essay structure.
The command verb tells you what the assessor expects you to do with the information. Adding more words does not raise the level of an answer if those words still perform the wrong task.
| Command verb | What the response must do | Common weakness |
|---|---|---|
| Explain | Make the issue clear and show how or why it happens. | Giving a definition with no developed reasoning. |
| Analyse | Break the issue into parts and show relationships, causes or implications. | Listing factors without connecting them. |
| Assess | Consider relevant evidence and reach a supported view about importance or effectiveness. | Presenting information but making no judgement. |
| Evaluate | Judge strengths, limitations and suitability against the context or evidence. | Writing a simple advantages-and-disadvantages list. |
| Critically appraise | Test the quality, assumptions and limits of evidence before reaching a reasoned conclusion. | Using the word “however” without genuinely challenging the evidence. |
After each paragraph, ask: “What decision, explanation or judgement has this paragraph added to the specific AC?”
If the paragraph could sit under several different criteria without changing it, it may be too general.
Many CMI assessments expect the learner to connect management theory with professional practice. The evidence must be authentic and relevant; simply mentioning an organisation does not make a paragraph work-based.
A team performance problem and the action taken to address it.
A stakeholder disagreement or communication decision.
A change initiative, project or operational improvement.
A budget, resource, risk or scheduling decision.
A coaching, performance review or staff-development situation.
A policy, process or data set used to make a management decision.
Personal reflection on what worked, what did not and what could change next time.
You remain responsible for the truth and authenticity of any workplace evidence. We can help you organise and anonymise information, but we do not invent professional experiences, results or documents.
CMI Management and Leadership qualifications currently span Levels 2 to 8. The level is only one part of the check: the live or legacy suite, qualification size, unit code and centre-devised requirements can all change what the learner must produce.
| CMI qualification suite and live code | What the level normally focuses on |
|---|---|
| Level 2 Team Leading 2A1V2, 2C1V2, 2D1V2 | Practising or aspiring team leaders dealing with daily team responsibilities, service, work relationships and team performance. |
| Level 3 First Line Management and Leadership 3A31, 3C31, 3D31 | First-line managers, supervisors, shift managers and project officers managing operational activities, people, change and workplace decisions. |
| Level 4 Management and Leadership 4A1V2, 4C1V2, 4D1V2 | Practising or aspiring middle managers developing decision-making, delegation, team dynamics and professional management capability. |
| Level 5 Management and Leadership 5A30, 5C30, 5D30, 5XD30 | Middle managers and leaders working across people, performance, projects, operations, finance, stakeholders, change and organisational objectives. |
| Level 6 Professional Management and Leadership Practice 6A30, 6C30, 6D30 | Senior, regional, specialist or director-level professional management practice, with stronger application, evaluation and organisational impact. |
| Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership Practice 7A30, 7C30, 7D30, 7XD30 | Senior and strategic leaders working with organisational strategy, people, finance, risk, change, data, partnerships and strategic performance. |
| Level 8 Strategic Direction and Leadership 8A1V2, 8C1V2, 8D1V2 | CEOs, global leaders and senior managers responsible for ethical strategic direction, inter-organisational decisions and long-term leadership impact. |

The current Level 3 First Line Management and Leadership suite uses qualification codes 3A31, 3C31 and 3D31. It is designed for practising or aspiring managers who supervise a team, manage day-to-day operational work or contribute to projects.
Some learners may still hold briefs from the older 3A30, 3C30 or 3D30 Principles of Management and Leadership suite, so the code and unit number must be checked before advice is given.
At Level 3, practical application matters. A response should show what a first-line manager does, why the action is appropriate, how it affects people or operations and how the evidence meets the specific assessment criterion.
Official CMI Qualification Page ↗The current Level 5 Management and Leadership suite uses 5A30, 5C30, 5D30 and 5XD30. Level 5 is not satisfied by definitions alone: the learner normally needs to connect management approaches to operational, departmental or specialist responsibilities and explain why an approach is suitable in the organisational context.
The current suite contains Units 501–526, with Unit 608 available in permitted Diploma or Extended Diploma combinations. The qualification rules also contain barred combinations, so a unit list should not be inferred from the level alone.
Example of the expected difference: a weak performance-management answer may define KPIs; a stronger plan shows how performance is set, monitored, reviewed and improved, what evidence will be used and what limits may affect the conclusion.
Official CMI Qualification Page ↗Level 6 is a distinct current CMI suite, not a gap between Level 5 and Level 7. The live qualification codes are 6A30, 6C30 and 6D30, and the suite is aimed at senior, regional, specialist or director-level professional managers. The work must demonstrate appropriate breadth, application and evaluation, while remaining grounded in organisational practice.
The current Level 6 syllabus also permits selected Level 5 units in specified groups. We check the rules of combination and exact unit specification before advising on structure or evidence.
Official CMI Qualification Page ↗The current Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership Practice suite uses 7A30, 7C30, 7D30 and 7XD30. Level 7 work needs strategic judgement, not a longer Level 5 answer. The response may need to compare competing options, challenge assumptions, consider organisational risk and stakeholder impact, and reach a supported decision that is relevant to the organisation.
For CMI 712 or 713, we can help you examine the project or research requirements, narrow the organisational problem, plan evidence sources and check whether your proposed method can answer the question. The project decisions and assessed work remain yours.
For the Diploma and Extended Diploma, the current rules may also permit Group B units drawn from the Level 6 suite, including 607, 608, 609, 610, 612 and 614. The exact combination must be verified against the qualification code and current rules.
Official CMI Qualification Page ↗Level 2 work normally stays close to day-to-day team-leading decisions and evidence. Level 4 develops broader middle-management capability, including delegation, team dynamics and operational judgement. Level 8 focuses on senior strategic direction, ethical leadership, collective responsibility and inter-organisational impact. The same answer structure should not be reused across these levels.
Level 2 Team Leading ↗ Level 4 Management and Leadership ↗ Level 8 Strategic Direction and Leadership ↗CMI also publishes specialist qualifications outside the general Management and Leadership pathway, including Coaching and Mentoring, Professional Coaching Practice, Management Consulting Practice, Professional Consulting, Sustainability Leadership and AI Leadership. These suites use different codes, units and rules. If your brief belongs to another CMI qualification family, send the exact code so it can be checked separately rather than forced into the Levels 2–8 structure above.
A referred submission should not automatically be replaced from the beginning. Changing acceptable sections can introduce new inconsistencies and make it harder to show that the feedback has been addressed.
Identify the exact ACs marked as referred.
Read the assessor's wording carefully: missing evidence, limited depth, wrong command verb or weak application are different problems.
Compare the feedback with the paragraph or evidence originally submitted.
Separate sections that can remain from sections that need revision.
Create a correction plan showing what the learner must add, test, explain or evaluate.
Review the learner's revised draft to check whether the feedback has been answered directly.
Send the original work and the full assessor comments. A cleaner revision plan is possible when we can see what was accepted, what was referred and how the centre described the weakness.
The example below shows how a referred criterion can be diagnosed without supplying a replacement answer. It illustrates the review method; it is not a completed customer assignment or a guaranteed result.
The draft identifies a genuine performance issue, the action taken and a relevant management source.
It explains what happened but does not compare available approaches, test limitations or reach a supported judgement.
The learner compares two realistic approaches against team needs, resources, risk and stakeholder impact, then justifies the preferred option.
The workplace facts, evaluation, decision and final wording.
This approach preserves acceptable context and evidence while directing the learner’s revision to the criterion that was actually referred.
If you already have a usable draft, you may not need tutoring from the beginning. Our editing and feedback service can help you identify problems that are difficult to see after reading the same document repeatedly.
whether each section answers its stated AC rather than drifting into a related topic
whether claims are supported by relevant management sources or authentic workplace evidence
whether the command verb has been addressed at the right depth
whether the depth and judgement are appropriate to the stated CMI level rather than implied
repetition between ACs, introductions and conclusions
paragraph flow, clarity, grammar and professional UK English
Harvard citations, reference-list consistency and missing source details
formatting and signposting that make the evidence easier for an assessor to follow
Editing does not mean replacing your argument with a new submission. We explain what is weak and improve language where appropriate, while keeping the ideas, evidence and final decisions under your control.
CMI assignment examples can help you understand format, headings and the difference between theory and application. They become risky when a learner copies wording from an old unit, uses an example written for a different assessment criterion or submits a model answer as personal workplace evidence.
the qualification level and unit version it relates to
clear task or AC signposting
how the command verb changes the structure of the paragraph
where theory is linked to a specific workplace context
how judgement is supported rather than merely stated
annotations explaining why the structure works
After the initial review, the request is matched by qualification level, unit, subject area and the type of feedback required. A Level 2 Team Leading task, a Level 4 Management and Leadership unit, a Level 6 professional-management brief and a Level 7 strategic project require different evidence plans and different levels of judgement.
The agreed scope identifies what will be reviewed, which management area is involved, what feedback will be provided and what remains the learner’s responsibility.
Upload the complete assessment brief, unit code, deadline, existing draft and assessor feedback if the work was referred.
We identify the level, ACs, command verbs, workplace requirements and the type of support that would be most useful.
Choose brief mapping, tutoring, draft feedback, proofreading, referencing support or resubmission guidance.
Use the plan and feedback to write or revise the assessment in your own words using your own evidence.
Where included in the agreed scope, send the revised draft back so we can check whether the identified issues have been addressed.
One price cannot represent every CMI enquiry. Reviewing one referred AC is different from checking a full unit with several learning outcomes, multiple evidence requirements or a centre-devised assessment format.
the CMI level and unit
the number of assessment criteria involved
the length and condition of the existing draft
whether the request is for tutoring, brief mapping, proofreading or detailed feedback

the turnaround requested
Send the brief and any existing work before payment so the scope can be checked. You should receive a clear explanation of what the fee covers rather than a quote based only on word count.
Send your brief, unit code, deadline, existing draft and any assessor feedback.

plain-English guidance on relevant command verbs
feedback on workplace evidence, relevance and level of judgement
annotated comments on a draft where detailed review is ordered
proofreading and reference checks within the agreed scope
confidential handling of the files and workplace information supplied

Assessment decisions are controlled by the learner's centre and CMI processes. We can give careful, relevant support, but the final submission must be the learner's own work and must satisfy the centre's rules.
We support CMI Management and Leadership briefs from Level 2 Team Leading through Level 8 Strategic Direction and Leadership, including Award, Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma routes where offered. Specialist CMI suites are checked separately using the exact qualification and unit code.
No. We do not complete assessed answers or provide submission-ready work. We help you understand the task, plan the response and improve your own draft so that you remain the author.
Yes. We check the code and version shown on your assessment booklet. This is especially important where a replacement suite is live but already-registered learners may still be completing an older qualification or unit.
Yes. Depending on the approved brief, we can review the planning and presentation of written assignments, reports, reflective accounts, work-based projects or evidence, development plans, proposals, presentations and professional-discussion preparation. The learner must still produce and authenticate the assessed evidence.
Yes. Send the original submission and assessor feedback. We identify the referred ACs and provide a targeted correction plan rather than assuming the whole unit must be replaced.
Yes. We can check whether your examples are specific, relevant and linked to the AC. The experience and evidence must be genuine; we do not invent workplace events or documents.
Editing may include feedback on relevance, structure, command-verb depth, repetition, clarity, grammar, referencing and presentation. It does not transfer authorship or replace your argument with a completed answer.
Your files are used only for the support requested and handled under the website Privacy Policy. Remove unnecessary personal data and anonymise commercially sensitive workplace information wherever possible.
No. A pass cannot be guaranteed because the final decision belongs to the centre or assessor. The purpose of support is to help you understand and address the brief more effectively while following academic-integrity rules.
Send your brief, unit code, deadline and any assessor feedback. We confirm the qualification suite, assessment format and support scope before quoting.
A careful first review prevents wasted work on the wrong command verb, missing AC or outdated unit version.
